If I have a Barrel in play, and a Barrel in my hand, can I put the 2nd Barrel down and discard the 1st (replace it)?

No.
Only one card with the same name.

As already replied bu detr0it, you cannot.



You would need a Cat Balou or the like:

- discard your barrel in play
- play the second barrel
- hopefully you are Suzy Lafayette remaining with no cards in the hand
(or simply use the Cat Balou on your hand card)
