I know the card says that he can hold an "infinite" amount of cards, but is there a maximum "infinite" amount?

Has anyone had good luck with this ability? We find that in most cases, the player doesn't come close to taking advantage of it. And tree life points seems unreasonable.

it depends on the kind of playing by the whole group, if everybody starts to shoot to his target without hiding at all his identity, Sean Mallory would be probably not able to collect cards but when the game is more tactic he becomes a very strong character. It's the classic character to be shot soon, before he becomes too strong

Besides, I play often in 2 or 3 players with 2 or 3 characters for everybody. In this kind of games Sean Mallory is very strong too.

In the 3rd edition, Sean Mallory can reach up to 10 cards in hand. He can hold his cards in hand even when he get injured by other players.

We use to play with 4 cards in hand for all characters, no matter if you get hurt. But if you play with the entire rules, lossing cards when injured, Sean Mallory is a great character to playing with.
