Many people in the BANG! community have enjoyed the easy way in which they can mod the BANG! card game and add their own playing cards and characters. I have ready many posts where players have mentioned character ideas of their own. To aide players in fully create these characters to the highest quality possible, I have begun a tutorial series on creating BANG! cards. The first tutorial, which involves creating BANG! character cards, is in a series of parts:
Part 1: Designing a Character Image for a BANG! Character Card.
Part 2: Designing the Border, Font, and Size for a BANG! Character Card.
Part 3: Creating a Character Ability (Dos and Don'ts).
Part 4: Printing a BANG! Character Card and the Varieties of Production.
The tutorials are designed to be done in Photoshop and InDesign CS3, but I am sure they will work on other versions of the Creative Suite. You may also be able to retrofit the techniques into other graphic editing software, but I am not going to discuss how to design BANG! character cards in other programs. The first part of the tutorial I have made available online at:
