How does the Judge work? The text says:
For the whole round, you cannot play cards in front of yourself or any other player.
I think it means you can't put down a card in front of you or another player - so you can't jail someone, put down dynamite, or a blue card or green card. I also think it means that you can't put a green card down (which is then latent for a turn), or use an active green card. But, any blue cards already down are in effect, such as a Mustang or a Volcanic.
Is a dynamite check down? Are you still in jail?
But I'm not sure.

The meaning is just as it is said: you can't put down cards.
This means:
You cannot play blue cards (Dynamite and Jail included)
You cannot play green cards.
But blue cards have their effects.
And green cards already down can be used.
Instead, with Lazo
You can play anything normally
BUT
blue cards have no effect
green cards cannot be used
Jail and Dynamite are ignored (they will be checked on next round)

The way me and Goymer play it is that while the Judge is in effect, you cannot add any cards to the table. Any green cards ready to use can be used, and any blue cards in play work as usual. The only difference is that no more can be played while the Judge is in effect.
Never been a huge fan of the Judge, meself. Belle Star pretty much does this when it's her turn anyway, hence she's useful against "fortresses" of cards.
